Cookies Policy

This policy sets forth the rules for storage of and access to information on user’s devices using cookies and is shall apply to websites operated by HTEP Poland Sp. z o.o. with its registered seat in Gdańsk (hereinafter referred to as "websites").

What are cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of computer data, especially text files, stored in the user's end device, that are used while the user is browsing a website. These files allow identifying the user’s device and properly displaying a website tailored to fit their individual preferences. Cookies usually contain the name of the website they originate from, expiry date on the end device, and a unique number.

What are cookies used for?

Cookies are used to personalize the website content to the user's preferences and to optimize web browsing. They are also used to create anonymous, aggregated statistics that are helpful in understanding how the user browses the websites; this, in turn, allows improving their structure and content, except for the user’s personal identification.

What types of cookies do we use?

There are two kinds of cookies - "session cookies" and "persistent cookies". The former are files that exist in temporary memory only while the user is reading and navigating the websites; web browsers normally delete session cookies when the user logs out or/and closes the browser. "Persistent" files remain with the user’s device for the period specified in the cookie parameters or until they are manually deleted by the user. Cookies used by the website provider partners, including in particular website users, are subject to their own privacy policy.

Do cookies contain any personal/sensitive data?

Personal/sensitive data collected via cookies may only be collected for the purpose of delivering specific functions for the user. Such data are encrypted in order to prevent any unauthorized access whatsoever.

How do I disable cookies?

As a rule, browsers by default allow to install the cookies in the end device. These settings can be modified in such a way as to block the automatic support of "cookies" in browser settings, or to inform the user each time they are being sent to the user’s end device.
More detailed information on how to enable/disable and support cookies can be found in the browser software settings. Restricting the use of cookies may affect some of the functionalities that are available on a given website.
